At the Marion Family YMCA we focus on overall wellness, empowering you to tailor your own plan toward healthier living by choosing how you will accomplish your wellness goals. The whole approach means you have many options and lots of support as you choose your path to a healthier new you!
The large variety of cardiovascular and strength training equipment allows members with diverse abilities, backgrounds and interests to workout together. This space includes over 30 pieces of cardiovascular equipment including treadmills, steppers, ellipticals, upright & recumbent bikes, an ergo meter, and a recumbent stepper and a – a Jacob’s Ladder. The Wellness Center has coaches available to help you get started or move your fitness to the next level.
The YMCA is excited to announce new equipment in our Wellness Center. Life Fitness Strength equipment and cardio.. Ten pieces of Life Fitness strength equipment will complement four pieces of Technogym equipment which we are keeping for a complete full-body strength training circuit.
We are also replaced four recumbent bikes, four upright bikes, four cross trainers and and adding two summit trainers.
We have also recently added ActivTrax as a great new tool for us to help members achieve their health and wellness goals. In addition to providing interesting workouts for members, ActivTrax includes an online nutrition program that you may use at home to help achieve any weight
management goals which you may have. ActivTrax is now included as part of membership for
members age fourteen and older (SilverSneakers pay a small monthly fee which is waived if you
visit the Y eleven times each month)

Adult Group Exercise Classes
The Y is committed to helping all individuals and families improve their health and well-being. Our group exercise classes are designed to meet a variety of needs for people of all fitness levels. Whether you are just considering making a lifestyle change and need help and support or you’re an avid exerciser looking for a challenge, we have classes for you. For your understanding, our exercise classes are categorized as follows:
A - Appropriate for absolute beginners & older adults
B – Appropriate for beginners to advancedbeginners
C – Appropriate for intermediate to advanced
D – Appropriate for Advanced

Adult Water Fitness
Healthy living is an important part of the Y. Water fitness classes are a great way to exercise, and a great way to become involved in the YMCA Community. In water fitness, we have created a strong community of supportive and caring peers who work together to encourage and push each other to stay on track and accomplish goals. We offer a variety of classes to meet the needs of anyone who is interested in a water fitness class.
