Policies
To better serve our members, the below policies are in effect.
*Updated* Guest Policies The Marion Family YMCA welcomes guests. We hope you will enjoy your visit to the Y and consider joining us as a member. Our guest policies are:

All guests must complete a participant and guest application. This needs to be completed just once and will be kept on file for future visits.

Guests under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian complete the participant and guest application on their behalf.

All guest over the age of 9 must have their pictures taken for the YMCA's records.

Guests under the age of 9 must be accompanied and directly supervised by an adult while at the YMCA.

All guest are required to abide by all YMCA rules, policies, and the code of conduct.
PARTICIPANT AND GUEST FORM
*Updated* Registration Policies

Registration for Members will begin one week prior to Non-Member registration.

Registration Deadline is 2 business days prior to the start of a class or event unless otherwise noted. (Registrations will be accepted past the deadline on a space available basis.)

Registration for Group Exercise and Water Fitness classes is continuous with no deadline to join an existing class. (Classes without a minimum number of registrations may be cancelled.)

Registrations will be accepted in person at the Service Center with full payment required at the time of registration. ONLINE REGISTRATION IS AVAILABLE FOR GROUP EXERCISE CLASSES!

Non-Members registering for programs must have a participant and guest form on file.

A waiting list will be created for classes at capacity. If placed on a waiting list, you will be notified if space becomes available.

Credits will only be issued if you cancel in person at the Service Center at least 2 business days prior to the start of a class or program.

Credits cannot be issued and classes cannot be made up for individual classes missed by the participant.

The YMCA reserves the right to change, cancel, or combine classes as necessary. If the Y cancels a class a credit or refund will be issued.
General Policies
- Members must present their membership card at the Service Center each time they visit the YMCA.
- Children under the age of 9 must be accompanied by an adult at all times, unless enrolled in a class or program.
- Child Watch is available for children ages 3 months to 8 years of age.
- Children ages 9 to 16 years of age are permitted to be at the YMCA for a maximum of 3 hours without adult supervision.
- Inappropriate language and fighting will not be tolerated.
- Specific policies are posted in each area of the building that must be followed.
Locker Room Policies
- Lockers are available for day use by members and guests.
- Please bring a lock, and remove it at the end of each visit.
- Items left overnight will be removed and placed in the lost and found at the Service Center. Lost and found items are kept for a maximum of 7 days before disposal.
- Children over the age of 5 must use the gender appropriate locker room.
- The special needs locker room is available to accommodate parents with opposite sex children and those needing assistance.
- The YMCA is not responsible for any personal belongings that are lost or damaged while using the facility.
- Adult locker rooms are available for those 18 years of age and older. No children are permitted at anytime!
- No cameras or video cell phones are permitted in the locker rooms at anytime.
Wellness Center Policies

New members are encouraged to sign up for a coaching session

Must be 14 years old to enter the wellness center

Please allow others to work in on equipment when busy

30 minute maximum on the cardio equipment during busy times

Please be considerate of others and wipe down equipment after using

Water only allowed in the wellness center, food is prohibited

Return plates, barbells and dumbbells to appropriate racks when finished

Profanity is prohibited

For your safety and the safety of others: Keep all personal items locked up in the locker rooms. Appropriate athletic attire required: tennis shoes, shorts or sweats, no jeans.
Gymnasium Policies
- No food or drink is permitted in the gymnasium.
- Please do not hang on the backboards, rims, or nets.
- The gym schedule must be followed for open basketball, volleyball, and program times.
- The gym schedule is subject to change to meet member and program needs.
- Half court games will be enforced during busy times.
Track Policies
- Please do not stop on the track.
- Please run or walk single file during busy times.
- Only water is permitted on the track.
- Please run in the outside lane and walk in the inside lane.
- Please observe the directional signs for each day of the week.
Pool Policies
- Please enter the aquatic facility through the locker rooms only.
- Children under the age of 6 and non-swimmers must be accompanied by an adult or guardian 18 years of age or older in the water.
- Children ages 7 and 8 must have an adult with them on deck, unless enrolled in a class or program.
- Children needing a floatation device must have an adult in the water with them and will not be permitted in the deep end.
- Any classes without a minimum number of participants may be subject to cancellation.
- Pool schedules are subject to change to meet member and program needs.
- The entire aquatic facility will be closed during thunderstorms and will re-open thirty minutes after the last trace of thunder or lightning.
- Please shower before entering the aquatic facility!
